Tooling Designed for Production

FORMET’s industrial tooling covers the tools that make other parts: tangential threading chasers, thread rolling dies, heading and forming tools for fastener production, and the molds and dies behind plastic and metal components. Tools are made to the customer’s drawing or to a proven sample, with the profile, material and hardness matched to the machine and the workpiece.

Industrial Tooling for Precision Performance

An industrial tooling request can start from a worn tool, a drawing or a machine that has to keep running. Send the tool or its drawing, the thread or form specification, the workpiece material and the machine model, and we confirm whether the profile can be reproduced as it is or should be improved for tool life.For threading chasers and thread rolling dies the critical points are profile accuracy, surface finish and consistent hardness from one set to the next, so replacement sets are made to a documented specification and reorders match the original. Molds, swaging dies and cold forming tools follow the same principle: in industrial tooling the design is recorded, and a repeat order does not depend on anyone’s memory of the first one.Tool life is part of the quote, not an afterthought. Where the customer can share current tool life, cycle counts or the reason a tool is being replaced, the material and heat treatment can be adjusted so the next set lasts longer than the one it replaces.

Custom tooling orders are handled as small engineering projects. We confirm the machine model, the workpiece material and the expected output before the design is released and the tool steel is ordered, then document the final dimensions, material grade and hardness of every set. That record makes a reorder faster and keeps each replacement consistent with the tool already proven on your production line, even years after the first order.
