Controlled and repeatable manufacturing

High volume production is where small variations become expensive. FORMET runs repeat OEM programs in molded plastic, machined, forged and stamped metal, and assembled parts, with each program launched through PPAP and then held to the same control plan, inspection frequency and packaging from the first lot to the last.

High Volume Production Programs

Consistent output, controlled processes and dependable long-term production are structured around forecasted demand, scheduled releases and quality requirements.Repeat OEM programs. Annual volumes are planned with the customer’s forecast, and releases are scheduled so that production, inspection and shipping stay in step with demand rather than reacting to it.Multi-component and assembly programs. Molded, machined and purchased parts are brought together, assembled and inspected as one item, so the customer receives a finished part number instead of coordinating several suppliers.Production transfers and tooling migrations. When a part moves from another supplier, the existing tools are assessed, drawings and specifications are reviewed, and the transferred part is validated again before it replaces the current supply.Long-term and scheduled supply. For programs that cannot run short, safety stock can be held so that a delay in transit does not stop the customer’s line. High volume production only works when the fifth year of supply looks like the first.Packaging and labeling. Carton quantities, labels and lot identification are agreed during PPAP and applied to each shipment, so incoming inspection and line feeding on the customer’s side stay simple and predictable.Capacity planning. Before a volume increase is confirmed, tooling, cycle times and inspection capacity are reviewed against the new forecast, so a higher release is supported by the process rather than by overtime.

As a PPAP supplier, we launch each program with approved samples and a documented process before serial deliveries begin. High volume manufacturing then runs on dedicated tooling: high volume injection molding for plastic parts, high volume machining for turned and milled metal parts, and contract assembly when several components are delivered as one finished item. Output and quality are reviewed with every release, so the process stays stable over the years.
